Signalman from Bayford is a revolutionary oil tank gauge which automatically sends a signal to our office via your phone line. This allows us to monitor your oil supply for you, so you no longer have the inconvenience of checking your tank and ordering when levels are low.

We can monitor all your fuel levels for you; whether that's your kerosene tank for heating or your gas oil tank for running your machinery. Our dedicated Signalman sales staff monitor your tank year-round and schedule deliveries when you need fuel. This means even in your busy periods, such as lambing or harvest, we are watching your fuel level - so you don't have to!

The following are some of the common questions we are often asked about our Signalman system:

Q - How much does it cost?
A - We maintain the Signalman and monitor your oil for you for just £2 per month when you sign up to our Direct Debit payment plan. Alternatively, you can pay a one-off fee of £24.00 per annum.

The cost of each delivery is usually taken care of by Direct Debit to the Bayford payment scheme.

Q - How do I know I’m getting value for my money?
A - Oil is a highly cost-effective way of heating your home. In fact, regular surveys have shown it to be consistently among the cheapest non-mains fuels you can choose.

At Bayford we are committed not only to keeping costs as low as possible, but also to making oil as efficient to use as any other energy supply. Signalman helps us keep costs low and so offer the best possible deal to our customers because we can plan delivery for a time when we are already in your area.

Remember, by using Signalman you are getting much more than just your oil monitored for you. Your payments can be automatically taken care of by Direct Debit and you'll be getting peace of mind knowing you’ll never run out of fuel again.

Q - Do I have to call you when my oil is low?
A - No. We can monitor your oil and deliver only when we need to, and when we’re in your area, cutting down on emissions created by repeat journeys to the same location.

We will come and deliver automatically once the Signalman reports that your tank has reached its reorder level.
