Bayford named in Times Top 100 list for second year running
Bayford & Co Ltd of Bramham, West Yorkshire, have followed up their 2006 Best Small Companies success, by being named as a 2007 Sunday Times 100 Best Small Company to Work For.
The largest employee survey in the UK celebratesworkplace performance and best practice. The survey looks at what Best Companies describe as the eight key factors in workplace engagement; leadership; employee personal wellbeing; career development; pay and benefits; employee feelings towards colleagues, managers and the company as a whole; and giving something back to the community.
Bayford Chief Executive Jonathan Turner said of the award, “ We were delighted to be named in the top 100 companies for the second year running, especially as we were told that the competition this year was stronger than ever. We work hard at Bayford to look after our employees and to create a productive and fun atmosphere. I think this award is a good indicator of what our employees think about their work at Bayford and it shows us that they are enjoying what they do.”
The results from the employee survey seem to reinforce this, stating that, “…employees have had no job-related stress in the past year (83%), aren't under too much pressure to concentrate (76%) and feel that colleagues go out of their way to help each other (79%). There is flexibility in working hours and staff say they aren't bored at work (81%) and have fun in their teams (83%).”
This award follows a recent run of success for Bayford, who were awarded a 1 Star Accreditation from Best Companies for workplace engagement, as well as being named finalists in the Service Business of the Year category at the 2007 Fast Growth Business Awards.
